HEISCO is a major diversified Industrial Contracting, Marine and Trading company operating in Kuwait and was the first shipbuilding and repair company in the Gulf awarded ISO 9001-2000 certification by GL. The company was originally incorporated as Kuwait Shipbuilding & Repairyard Co.
1. Marine Division :
Conveniently located Shuwaikh deep water harbour HEISCO is ideally placed to execute ship repair & construction at competitive rates. A floating drydock of length 190 meters, width 32 meters, caters for vessels up to 35,000 dwt. A Syncrolift accommodates vessels up to 5,000 dwt. with 7 repair bays, ranging in length from 90 to 135 meters, the system is linked by a transfer system. 5 Berths, ranging from 90 meters to 230 meters in length are serviced along their entire length by luffing cranes. 6 cranes, with lifting capacities from 10 to 30 tons, cover the yard open areas and there are 10 to 20 tons overhead traveling cranes in the workshops and stores.
Newly modern outfitted engineering workshops, large steel construction hall, pipe shop, electrical workshop, wood workshop, tool maker’s shop, galvanizing plant, blasting and painting plant and fully equipped ISO certified calibration laboratory are located on an area of 200,000 square meters in the yard. For offshore work, a diving support vessel with qualified divers, floating workshops, riding squads and an underwater hull cleaning team ensures efficient and high quality repairs with subsequent short delivery times on the smallest and largest vessels visiting Kuwait.
2. Trading Division :
Trading division has 20 years experience in procuring equipment, spares and general engineering items. Our dynamic marketing & sales division supply material to marine industry, oil sectors and power utility sectors and our customers receiving full technical support, a comprehensive and growing product range. Some of products promoted by Trading Division, to name a few are; Welding equipment & consumables, blasting & painting eqpt., blasting abrasives, oilfield products, pipeline accessories, protective coatings & marine paint, industrial and marine equipment & spares.
3. Industrial Contracts Division :
Industrial Contracts Division having a diversified range of business in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Power, Pressure Equipment Manufacture, Maintenance and other industrial services including heavy engineering works. HEISCO is involved in EPC construction of Storage Tanks (API 650, 620 & AWWA) and associated interconnecting piping works and also undertakes Engineering, Manufacturing / Supply of Shell & Tube type Heat Exchangers in full compliance with TEMA “R”, “B” & “C”, HEI, BS5500 besides Power Piping & Process Plant Piping as per ASME B31.1, 31.3, 31.4 & 31.8
